Getting here
Kangaroo Valley is about two and a half hours south of Sydney, between the Southern Highlands and the South Coast.
By car
From Sydney, via the coast
Take the M1 south past Wollongong and the Princes Highway to Berry, then Kangaroo Valley Road over Cambewarra Mountain. The mountain road is steep and winding, so allow time.
From Sydney, via the Southern Highlands
Take the Hume Motorway to Moss Vale, then Moss Vale Road past Fitzroy Falls and down into the valley.
From Canberra
About two and a half hours via the Hume Highway and Moss Vale.
Before you arrive
- Phone reception in the valley is patchy. Download directions before you leave.
- Fill up with fuel in Berry or Moss Vale.
- Drive slowly after dark. Wombats and kangaroos are on the roads at dusk.
